Tea Lesson:
The term “High Tea’ has been incorrectly used in the U.S.
to describe an event serving tea sandwiches and scones- no matter how
fancy you make the dining room. “High Tea’ in the
United Kingdom is an early
evening meal of the lower classes, as farmers and industry workers.
Also known as a ‘meat tea’, a true high tea will have a hearty supper of
modest foods with which tea will be served.
Home is where the Tea exists to provide an elegant tea atmosphere
in order to encourage women to savor the relationships of their lives.

| It is the vision of Laura Kacy, owner
of Home is where the Tea is, to continue pouring forth the
compassion and encouragement she has received from Christ, and many women
who are willing to share each other's burdens. The 'taking of tea'
and it's ceremonies creates a lovely atmosphere in which to accomplish
this vision. Mrs. Kacy is a English-style
tea caterer, and has been referrred by The Cafe
at the Frick, as well as being a premier vendor
at The Succop Conservancy in Butler PA. It has
been an honor to have come under the notice and tutelage of Ellen Easton,
tea authority and consultant to The Palm Court at The Plaza NYC.
As a national speaker, Mrs. Kacy has made presentations in PA, NYC, and
California. Your next meeting can have this dynamic speaker! |
